Комментарии автора: A tribute to the Sea-King and Koksijde rescue. The winch operator has the full control over helicopter during a rescue attempt. The life of the medic, the diver and the victims lay in his hands. This guy on the photo had to choose many years ago to cut the cable during a mission at sea. The wire was stuck in the masts of a boat and he needed to leave the diver and the victims behind to save the helicopter. A second Sea-King picked the diver and the victim up after 2 more hours in a very cold and wild sea at night. This interview with this guy tells the true story of the guys who are to my opinion real hero’s. They always go out to help others risking their own lives!
